TT gauge: Loading raw coal from the Scheibe opencast mine

The TT layout “Loading raw coal from the Scheibe opencast mine” measures 5.50 m x 0.96 m and depicts the loading of lignite from the “Scheibe” opencast mine onto the mine railroad.
Two single-track lines in the same direction of travel KBS 134 Hoyerswerda – Cottbus, section Weißkollm – Spreewitz-Süd are integrated.
The layout theme corresponds to the period around 1990.
It is operated in analog mode and has a sequence control system using relays and reed contacts.
All of the coal railroad vehicles were built from kits.
A special feature are the blue illuminated signals based on the model of the opencast mines in the GDR.
