Centennial time travel with the Fowler D5 traction engine

A special highlight of this year’s live steam indoor meeting will be the operation of a “steam carriage” pulled by a Fowler D5 traction engine.

The original steam tractor from 1924 will be making its rounds with a ride-on trailer in the open-air exhibition area and invites visitors to take a pleasurably decelerating tour. This is the first time that an original engine has been seen in operation at the Echtdampf-Hallentreffen. Usually kept in working order as a technical monument at the Lauingen E-Park, it is coming to Lake Constance as a guest at this year’s trade show in Friedrichshafen. Maximum steam atmosphere and a nearly hundred-year journey back in time is guaranteed when experiencing this machine!
