Airshow Stars of the Year: Superlative Airshow
You won’t find anything like it anywhere else! In front of the mountain panorama of Lake Constance Airport Friedrichshafen, the best pilots in the scene show off their skills at the “FMT Stars of the Year”. World, European and German champions represent all classes of model flying: From turbine jets and prototypical large models to 3D heli aerobatics and gliding competition disciplines. Superstar Gernot Bruckmann – currently the most successful pilot, who has also won numerous titles this year – will show us world-class motor and glider aerobatics. Kai Koppenburg, the current world speed record holder, will also be there. That means: model flying at more than 400 km/h in Friedrichshafen! The Red Bull Aerobatic Team will also be at the start again – they will be showing their new MB-339 in a three-person formation for the first time. Multiple German champion Luca Baumann and his Ares XXL will show what is possible with a freestyle jet today. Thomas Singer and Wolfgang Klühr will give us goosebumps with their breathtaking synchronized display on Carf-Mephistos. And with the Flippers, we can look forward to a top team that is currently causing a sensation in formation aerobatics. No less thrilling are the combat rounds of the tethered pilots – that’s how action-packed model flying can be. At the outdoor corporate flying event, the manufacturers Kavan, Aumiller, Mahmoudi Modellsport, D-Power and Akatja/Chaservo exhibiting in Hall A3 will be presenting selected product highlights in action. Of course, VTH will also be represented and will be showing the new Thermy XT and Teufel! construction plan models, among others. The spectacular airshow program will run for the entire duration of the trade fair from Friday to Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
